Every event at our church is designed to instruct believers in areas of life that can be traced back to one or more of ten basic scriptural principles.

Ten Scriptural Principles

Principle #1:
The Bible is the inspired Word of God and the final authority for my life.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17

Principle #2:
My purpose in life is to seek God with my whole heart and to build my goals around His priorities.

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.”
Matthew 6:33

Principle #3:
My body is the living temple of God and must not be defiled by the lusts of the world.

“But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s food, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore, he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.”
Daniel 1:8

Principle #4:
My church must teach the foundational truths of the Bible and reinforce my basic convictions.

“Go ye, therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19-20

Principle #5:
My children and grandchildren belong to God, and it is my responsibility to teach them Scriptural principles, godly character, and basic convictions.

“And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart; and thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.”
Deuteronomy 6:6-7

Principle #6:
My activities must never weaken the scriptural convictions of another Christian.

“Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit; but the upright shall have good things in possession.”
Proverbs 28:10

Principle #7:
My marriage is a life-long commitment to God and to my marriage partner.

“Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife; and they shall be one flesh.”
Genesis 2:24

Principle #8:
My money is a trust from God and must be earned and managed according to scriptural principles.

“For the love of money is the root of all evil, which, while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”
1 Timothy 6:10

Principle #9:
My words must be in harmony with God’s Word, especially when reproving and restoring a Christian brother.

“Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye who are spiritual restore such an one in the spirit of meekness, considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.”
Galatians 6:1

Principle #10:
My affections must be set on things above, not on things in the earth.

“But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal; for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
Matthew 6:20-21
