Genesis Chapter 31

When God gives us a precept and a promise, we need to trust Him to protect us and provide for us as obey. We need to go forth in faith, not fear!

 

Each of us has a past, present and future to our lives. Each believer has where they were before salvation, where they are going (Heaven), and where they’re at now. The _____________ is that we are growing toward where we are going, not slipping back to where we were!

 

Jacob and his family ___________ toward the Promised Land              V. 1-21

God had a purpose and plan for the descendants of Abraham through Jacob, and so God continually ____________________ with Jacob to get him where he needs to be. He does the same with us!

Laban proposes making a covenant, and “Mizpah” is the result. The Lord would “_______________” between them to make sure they both did right.

Laban calls the place Jegar Sahadutha – Heap of witness in Aramaic. Jacob calls it Galeed – Heap of witness in Hebrew.
