Psalm 103 Worksheet
As I read Psalm 103, look for two things: the number of times the word bless is used in the first couple and last few verses; also look for how many different “benefits” believers have are listed in verses 3-19.

The word lovingkindness in verse 4 is the first of 4 occurrences in the Psalm of the great Hebrew word Hesed – God’s steadfast love! The NKJV translates it lovingkindness in verse 4 and mercy in verses 8, 11, & 17.

The benefits listed in verse 8 remind us of God’s declaration of His name in Exodus 34:5-9.

For whom the LORD loves He corrects, just as a father the son in whom he delights. -Proverbs 3:12
Verse 9 in its context shows God’s heart – He delights in us, even though sometimes our actions disappoint Him, and He sometimes needs to discipline us.

Why does he not say north and south in verse 12?
