How Not to be a Hypocrite - Part 2 - Matthew 23:25-39

Matthew 23:25-39

Jesus is saying, “Your fathers rejected men of God in the past, you are rejecting the Son of God in the present, and you will reject messengers of the Son in the days to come.”
But why does Jesus say they will be guilty not only for the blood they shed but also of all the righteous blood that has ever been shed?
Because there is a cosmic war going on, and you are either on the side of God or the Devil. He allows you to repent and turn to God (as Paul did), but if you do not, you are going to Hell with the Devil.
Jesus would rather save you then judge you - V. 37-39
When we humbly repent and confess our sin before God, ancient promises of forgiveness and restored relationship kick in!
“For I have no pleasure in the death of the anyone,” declares the Lord GOD; “So turn, and live.” - Ezekiel 18:32
The time comes when you hear your last appeal to turn to or back to Jesus – when judgment day comes, will you hear “woe” or “well done.”
