You are NOT alone (even when you feel alone)       Nehemiah 13

Nehemiah discovers the people have ____________________ in his absence                                                      V. 6-8

Nehemiah _________________________ the process of renewal                                                                         V. 8ff

Nehemiah pleads for God to ___________________________ his work                                                               V. 14, 22, 30

Even in the New Testament Paul was concerned several times that he had labored in vain with certain churches and individuals (2 Cor. 9:3; Gal. 2:2, 4:11; Phil. 2:16).

Two Lessons from the end of Nehemiah:

1.         We must ALL remain ____________________ to preserve and extend the work of God in our midst.

Many churches and denominations have gone from vibrant works of God to having Ichabod written over the doors.

They are no longer Hephzibah (Beautiful) or Beulah (Married) but Ichabod (the Glory has departed)!                        See Isa. 62:4

2.         We must all know that the Christian is never alone in their service to God – God is with us, and God will ___________ what’s done for Him.               Hebrews 11:30-12:2

God can do anything but ______________________!

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.                      -I Cor. 15:58

And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. But he who does wrong will be repaid for what he has done, and there is no partiality.                    -Colossians 3:23-25
