The Gospel Changes Our “Workout” Routine

Philippians 2:12-13

 

Today we will see that our actions do not make us Christians, but they do _____________________ our deep desire for the gospel to change every area of our lives!

The Three Tenses of Salvation:

 

Past Tense:                        Justification

But now, since you have been liberated from sin and become enslaved to God, you have your fruit, which results in sanctification – and thee end is eternal life. -Romans 6:22

The wording of verse twelve shocks us out of a faith that takes God for granted and puts us on our knees before God begging our King’s pardon for our _____________________ ways.

A true believer will approach the Bible with fear and trembling, looking to let Jesus’ __________ change every area of their lives!

 

I will look favorably on this kind of person: one who is humble, submissive in spirit, and who trembles at My Word.                    -Isaiah 66:2b

 

Search me, O God, and know My heart; test me and know my concerns. See if there is any offensive way in me; lead me in the way everlasting.
