The Gospel Changes Our Goal in Life

Philippians 3:10-11

 

Many of us have goals, and that is a good thing. But today we are going to see that the gospel puts one set of goals at the _______________ of the list for all Christians.

 

The Christians’ Top Goal(s) in Life:

 

1.         Adore the P_______________                      V. 10a

 

2.         Apply the P_______________                      V. 10b

 

Many of the ways Christians have tried to make and measure goals have wound up ______________________, encouraging Pharisee type legalism instead of growth and power. 

 

But the Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.      -Gal. 5:22-23

The Christian can be assured of two things as they suffer:
