Servants will be served          Luke 12:35-48

The __________________ servant will be served                V. 35-38

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.”    -Rev. 3:20

“Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.”     -2 Tim. 4:8

“Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.”   -I John 3:2-3

The __________________ servant will lose their reward   V. 39-40

To those who love and serve Jesus, He is a loving Master who will reward when He returns. To those who fail to love and serve Jesus, He is ______________!

Look to yourselves, that you do not lose those things worked for, but that you may receive a full reward.              -2 John 8

But what about those who are unfaithful, and really unbelieving, since we all really act on what we truly believe?

Verses 47-48 can refer to two things:

Loss of rewards for those who are believers but were too ___________________in their faith

Degrees of punishment in Hell for unbelievers (see Luke 10:13-16)
