Respect Begins at Home!       Exodus 20:12

 

The first 3 commandments relate to loving God, the 4^th commandment is the fulcrum; the last 6 commandments relate to loving ___________________             -Matthew 22:37-40

 

 

What it DOES NOT mean to honor your Father and Mother:

 

1.         Honoring does not mean honoring _______________ they do

 

2.         Honoring does not mean ______________ everything they ask

 

 

What it DOES mean to honor your father and mother:

 

1.         Honoring your parents means Positional Respect

 

You can’t honor everything about them, but to obey the fifth command is to honor everything you ____________ about them

3.         As they get older take care of the ones who took care of you
