Rejoicing with the Finder                   Luke 15:1-10

As we read Luke 15:1-10, look for the words sinner and sinners, loses and lost, finds and found, rejoice and joy, and repents and repentance. They occur 22 times in the 10 verses.  

The complaints of those who did not love sinners like Jesus    V. 1-3

Jesus attracted sinners, while the Pharisees _______________ them.

People that Jesus interacted with felt His love, but He always called them to repentance and gave no one any hope that they could be forgiven of their sins without repentance.

 

The Parable of the Lost Sheep                                               V. 4-7

Lost things are out of place. They are not where they are supposed to be. They are also out of service. They can’t do what they are supposed to do. When lost things and people are found, they are back in place and back in service!
