Dream On
Daniel 2:1-23
Daniel is a book that shows believers that they can be faithful in the midst of anti-God conditions; Daniel is also a book that describes an unchanging Messianic ______________ to come that will overshadow all earthly kingdoms.
There are _______ times we are told of visions in the book od Daniel, and 10 of Daniel’s 12 chapters contain dreams.
Daniel 2:4-7:28 is in Aramaic, the language the Babylonians, or Chaldeans, spoke! It is also mostly in the third person.
The bad man has a nightmare V. 1
Almost all of the dreams that non-believers had in the Bible were some type of what I would call an OR ELSE _________________.
“My life’s dream has been a perpetual nightmare.” -Voltaire
In contrast, almost all of the dreams that believers had in the Bible were words of ________________ and guidance to help them face what was coming.
The bad man is a ____________ man V. 2-6
The impossibility of the request is underscored V. 7-11
We get two key admissions in verses 10-11:
1. It is impossible for a man to know what another dreamed
2. Only the “gods” could ___________ a dream like this
The King calls for the death of _________ the so-called wise men V. 12-13
Relational capital gives Daniel a window of __________________ V. 14-16
Matthew 6:33
Mark 10:45
The beauty of a _______________ meeting V. 17-18
Acts 13:1-3
The __________________ comes! V. 19
“The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream; And he who has My word, let him speak My word faithfully…Behold I am against those who prophesy false dreams,” says the Lord, “and tell them, and cause My people to err by their lies and by their recklessness. Yet I did not send them or command them…” -Jeremiah 23:28, 32
You will not have a dream or vision that ________________ the Bible’s truth; If you have one, it will encourage you to persevere in your Christian walk!
Don’t forget to _________________ God for answered prayer V. 20-23
