On the Field and in the Huddle

Acts 20:1-16

In today’s passage we read of a number of men from multiple cities travelling with the Apostle Paul as he wound up his 3rd missionary journey. We see them “on the field and in the huddle” with the apostle, and we’ll talk about how the Christian life is a mixture of ____________ and practically applying what we learn in everyday life.

Romans 15:27             1 Corinthians 16:1-4               Acts 14:21-22

Wherever Paul went he “______________  ________________” to his fellow disciples! That’s a business phrase that I love. It includes seeing work that needs to be done and doing it, but also developing other people while you are working together to achieve each other’s goals.

For the Christian leader, management is developing people through work, developing people while getting work done together.

“For I want very much to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you, that is, to be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine.”  -Romans 1:11-12

2 Corinthians 11:23-33

How could they embrace such risks?             John 3:16/John 20:21
