The Gospel Changes How We View Death

As we are exposed to death, we often begin thinking of ________________ realities. Inside each of us we know instinctively there has to be more than just this life.

Three ways the gospel changes our view of death:

1.         For all men death is more of a ___________________ than a final reality.  V. 21-23

2.         For the Christian _________________, death is gain        V. 21-23

If you don’t trust Christ, this sin-stained world will be the only Heaven you ever know. There will be Hell to pay after death. That is _____________________.

But if you are a born again Christian, this sin-stained world will be the only Hell you ever know. There will be Heaven to gain after death. That is wonderful ______________________!

3.         Because the Christian doesn’t fear death she can embrace life’s ongoing _______________________

V. 24-26

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The One who believes in Me, even if he dies, will live. Everyone who believes in Me will never die – ever. Do you believe this?” “Yes, Lord,” she told Him, “I believe You are the Messiah, the Son of God.”             -John 11:25-27
