Genesis Chapter 40

Verses 9-13 contain the Butler’s dream and interpretation.

Let’s talk about the Bible and dreams.

The Old Testament joins the New Testament in making clear that dreams must be ______________________ to God’s revealed will (What His Word says).

What’s noteworthy about dreams in the New Testament is there are so very _______________; with only one in the epistles and that in a negative context – Jude speaks of “these filthy dreamers.”

Conclusion: Dreams can and do happen, but should not be emphasized – Scripture should be emphasized, and dreams should be ______________in light of scripture. Beware ministries making much of “God told me such and such in a dream or vision.”
