The First Church Planting Report                  Acts 14:21-28

So the church throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace, being built up and walking in the fear of the Lord and in the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, and it increased in numbers.                                                                                                -Acts 9:31

The word for strengthening is episterizontes (1991), a present active participle from episterizo.

The word means: to establish besides, strengthen more. Or to render more firm, confirm!

The word ‘Christian’ occurs once in Acts, the plural ‘Christians’ twice. The word ‘believer’ occurs once in Acts, the plural ‘believers’ seven times. In contrast the word ‘disciple’ occurs 5 times in Acts, the plural ‘disciples’ ____________ times.

God doesn’t demand perfection, but He expects ________________!

He must not be a new convert, or he might become conceited and fall into the condemnation of the Devil. Furthermore, he must have a good reputation among outsiders, so that he does not fall into disgrace and the Devil’s trap.                 -I Timothy 3:6-7

  

The Call for Committed _______________________________ in Church Planting                                                                       V. 25-27

As a result of their efforts, there were growing Christians in growing churches from one side of the province of Galatia to the other: From Antioch of Pisidia to Derbe! Those disciples would continue to reach out to the rest of the province!
